What are you doing about COVID-19?
For safety and convenience, all of my appointments are currently via teletherapy.
Is teletherapy private?
The videoconferencing software I use is designed for teletherapy and is safe and secure. Additionally, I offer a secure text messaging application to your video session if you are in a space where you can't speak privately.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, I offer 15-minute consultations to see if we would have an effective client-counselor relationship. These consultations are not considered treatment, but they are completely confidential.
I see you are a marriage and family therapist--does that mean I can't see you alone?
No, you can come by yourself! I have all the training of any other licensed therapist with additional training about relationships and how they affect an individual. You can see me alone or with someone else--and you can see me about non-relationship issues. It's up to you.
I don't live near Frederick, but can I still see you?
Absolutely! I am licensed to practice therapy with clients in Maryland. With teletherapy, as long as you are in Maryland and have adequate Internet access, we can meet online.
Do you see teenagers?
Yes, in fact I worked many years with just teenagers, so I have a lot of expertise in this area.
Do you see LGBTQ individuals or couples?
Yes! My practice is non-judgmental, and I work with clients of all backgrounds. I welcome you and will do everything I can to make you feel safe and supported.
